    Air Quality Permits Program

    The Air Quality General Permit to Construct is an expedited application process for a category of sources which are generally very similar in operation, equipment installation, and emissions characteristics. If a source of air pollution qualifies for a General Permit to Construct, the applicant completes a Request for Coverage application form and submits a set permit application fee. Upon verification by the Air Quality Permits Program, a confirmation letter is issued which instructs the applicant to refer to the general permit conditions that are already included in the General Permit to Construct application. Air Quality General Permits to Construct are currently available for the following categories: Emergency Generators,​ Vehicle Refinishing (Autobody), Small Gasoline Refueling Facilities, Medium Gasoline Refueling Facilities, Large Gasoline Refueling Facilities​, Charbroilers and Pit Barbecues, Small Fuel Burning Equipment, Medium Fuel Burning Equipment, Concrete Batch Plant, Off-Road Gasoline Refueling Facilities, Sheetfed Lithographic Printing, Groundwater Air Strippers and Soil Vapor Extraction, Perchlorethylene (PERC) Dry Cleaning Equipment
